Last Tuesday we carried out an activity called Olympism. It was part of the Bilingual programme and the intention was to make our students aware of the values and principles of the Olympic Games: “respect, peace and friendship among nations”. Before the beginning of the games some students read in English and in French these values and principles.
Students of 4º ESO, as players from different countries ( Spain, Britain, France, Canada, Argentina, India, Cameroon and Nigeria), participated in a volleyball competition organized by the PE department. They played really hard, respected the rules and followed the olympic spirit. Spain came first (gold medal), France second (silver medal) and Canada came third (bronze medal). The students really enjoyed the game!!!!
The Department of Lengua Castellana and Literature created a big poster about Pindar and the epinicion, showing the relationship between sport and poetry.
The activity was a great success and our students can´t wait to have another competition! Well done everyone!
