These last few weeks leading to Christmas we have been working on the topic of “Sustainability” as part of the Bilingual programme. The students of 3º ESO ( Art subject) have built some beautiful cardboard sculptures and they have also worked on Christmas decoration made of recycled plastic (Technology subject). The result has been amazing! There has been an exhibition of all their work and some prizes have been awarded to the best pieces of work.
The English Department has organized an eco-friendly Christmas card contest for all the students and they have designed some wonderful cards made of recycled materials and bits and pieces they have found in nature such as leaves, sticks, flowers…
The Literacy Department has created a Poetic poster full of poems dedicated to nature and the students of 3º ESO have also given a poetry reading. It has been a great activity to remind us of the importance of looking after nature in order to have a sustainable future.
We hope that participating in this project our students have understood that their actions have a real impact on the environment and that we all need to learn how to care about its natural resources, how to reduce waste, and how to make responsible decisions in our daily lives.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
