Yesterday, the 24th of March, we carried out several activities within the topic of “Medieval Times”. It was part of the Bilingual programme and the intention was to study and discover very interesting aspects of that historical era.
There was an exhibition of three beautiful Medieval Towns built by Students of Technology 2º ESO. Each town had a church or cathedral, a castle, a market, a well, a bridge… The students have been very creative and have used all sorts of recycled materials.
In History, they have been studying the different jobs that people had at the time (some of them don’t exist anymore) and have designed some great posters with pictures explaining those jobs.
The Department of Lengua Castellana and the English department organized a medieval poetry reading. Some very famous “romances” and some of the popular poems from the book “The Canterbury Tales” by Geoffrey Chaucer were read.
A huge clap to all the participants!! Every activity was
done by 2º ESO students with a lot of care and effort and the result was amazing.
